About This Pipe
Founded by artisan Simone Gaudenzi after years spent refining his craft alongside Giancarlo Guidi at the famed Ser Jacopo workshop, Valbruna Pipes reflects Gaudenzi's personal vision, shaped by tradition, experimentation, and the Adriatic coast of his hometown, Gabicce Mare. Named after a local legend of a city lost beneath the sea, Valbruna pairs classic Italian shaping with Simone's own creative style, resulting in pipes that balance careful craftsmanship and a distinct sense of character.
Displaying the distinctive stylistic approach of the Valbruna workshop, this bent Egg is a handsome interpretation of the classic form, reimagined with bold Italian proportions along the fore of the profile and a stylized shank. The stem is equally expressive, its broad face echoing the ridgeline-wrapped shank for a cohesive, sculptural effect. The stummel is finished in a dark sandblast, highlighting growth rings along the bowl's flanks, while the peaks of plateau along the rim stand out in warm honey-blonde contrast.
