Peter Stokkebye - PS403 Luxury Bullseye Flake
They hit the bullseye
Let me start by saying in relatively new to pipe smoking. This was my first venture into Vapers, as well as my first non-ribbon cut tobacco. I was hesitant at first because of never packing flake tobacco before, but I was more than impressed upon my first bowl. The coins are a cool tactile experience, and the tin (bag) note is great. Different flavors are noticed throughout the smoke, and there’s a peppery flavor that I was really fond of. Room note is a good tobacco smell, not super offensive to newbies or smoke haters. This blend started me off on a Vaper quest, but I have a feeling I’ll be keeping this one in regular rotation.
Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - American Black Cherry
Where’s the Cherry?
I’m still relatively new to pipe smoking, and this was my first venture into cherry flavored tobacco. I’ll start by saying, the tin (bag) note is enticing. It smells like cherry, and the tobacco looks great. It’s cut very well, and it’s moist but not wet like other aromatics I’ve encountered. It packs and lights well, but I can honestly say I only caught the slightest whiff or taste of anything resembling cherry once or twice in the two bowls I smoked. The tobacco experience itself was just fine, not offensive or bitey. But as someone looking for a cherry tobacco experience, I don’t think this was it. I won’t be buying it again.
