Tobacco Jars - Small CVault Humidified Tobacco Container
Great Storage, but a Poorly Engineered Travel Companion
While the airtight seal on the Small CVault is flawless, the actual design feels like an engineering afterthought. First, the lid bracket is ostensibly built for an 8g Boveda packet—the smallest minimum size on the market and the exact one shipped with the unit—yet the dimensions are so tight you have to aggressively fold and compress the packet just to force it into the slot. Second, if you use this puck-sized container for travel, it presents a constant maintenance hassle. Because of the complex, recessed geometry of the lid, if it tips or rolls vertically inside a travel bag on the way to the lounge, loose tobacco migrates instantly into the cavities. This forces an annoying extra cleaning cycle to pick out loose ribbons before you can seal it back up. It is fine as a stationary vault, but frustrating on the road.

Tobacco Jars - Medium CVault Humidified Tobacco Container
Brilliant Stationary Storage with an Ergonomic Bottleneck
The Medium CVault is an absolute five-star asset for stationary storage and rehabilitation. It is built like a tank, completely light-proof, and resurrected a dry tin of flake back to perfect smoking moisture with ease. However, it suffers from a minor operational bottleneck during daily use. Opening the three wire latches is simple, but once you fill a pipe, you are left holding a loaded bowl, a loose metal lid, and a container with three free-swinging brackets that require both hands to realign and snap shut. Returning a loaded pipe to a standard stand to free your hands is an awkward, unstable juggle. Setting a cheap, foldable metal stand right next to it completely solves the staging issue, but the manufacturer definitely overlooked basic single-handed ergonomics for active prep.

Lane Limited - RLP-6
High-Value Crowd Pleaser That Rewards Discipline
Lane Limited RLP-6 is a certified bulk classic, but you need a bit of strategy to get the actual tobacco flavors out of it. Straight out of the bag, it carries a lot of surface moisture from the heavy casings. Giving it a patient air-dry before packing is a mandatory step if you want to avoid a steam engine in your bowl. Once lit, keep your cadence under strict control. If you puff hard to chase the rich vanilla and molasses room note, the temperature spikes instantly. But if you keep the burn down to a lazy, gentle smolder, the bite disappears completely, letting the nutty Burleys and bready Virginias come through. It tends to leave a heavy, wet slug at the heel rather than a clean ash, but paced correctly, it remains an incredibly reliable daily staple.
