About This Pipe Tobacco

Missouri Meerschaum has been making corn cob pipes since 1869, longer than any other manufacturer in the world. In 2013, they teamed up with master tobacco blender Russ Ouellette to create a series of old American-style tobaccos optimized for enjoyment in corn cob pipes.

Missouri Meerschaum's classic English mixture, American Patriot combines Latakia, Virginias, Turkish Smyrna, and Burley with a touch of Kentucky bourbon to enrich the room note and smooth out the flavor profile — the perfect complement to your favorite Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipe.

Tried this on a whim, I don’t see very many english aromatics running around. Don’t look at the pouch and turn your nose up. This is a good quality and unique tobacco! Barely an aromatic, my experience is that I get the aroma in the beginning of the bowl and then it shifts to a more traditional english. Not sure if it ghosts as I have a dedicated cob for this one.

This was a total and pleasant surprise. I knew MM makes quality products but this tobacco is some of the best I have had in quite a while at an affordable price that you just can’t beat! Love it. If you new to English blends or are looking to broaden your palette this is for you. It can easily be an all day smoke and won’t empty the room like a lot of traditional English blends do.
