I was expecting a little more rum and maple flavor. This tobacco feels and tastes and smells like Grandpa's tobacco. Allot of good tobacco flavors. Very mild in the rum and maple flavor. Very aromatic. Great smell.

is prominent; on the tongue, it's the rum that one notices. The virginas and burleys are well-balanced, but once and awhile I think the burley is a bit more forward. While there are no real rough edges, I do sometimes get an ashy aftertaste. It burns fast, yet really doesn't heat up the pipe. It does leave a resinous looking film inside the bowl, and I wonder if it'll ghost a pipe. But since I haven't smoked anything else in the bent billiard I've chosen for it, I'm only guessing here. There's hardly any vitamin-N in this, making it an all day smoke for sure. If you want that buzz, you'd either have to doctor it up, or follow it up with something stouter. I'd recommend the latter, as I wouldn't want to tamper with this mellow fellow....Read More

If you smoke it slow and cool that’s when you can really taste the different notes. Too hot and you lose the rum.

Most scented products have a chemical taste, but this one offers a natural and sweet experience. The sweet aroma of the maple in addition to the rum is well balanced and one to try if you like sweet scents.
