About This Pipe Tobacco

BriarWorks' Sweet Tea is brewed in the true Southern tradition, comprising a mix of Virginia and Oriental tobaccos as well as some Black Cavendish, and lent just a light touch of sweetness to readily evoke the flavors of sweet tea. Sweet and strong, just like mama used to make it.

Tastes like mildly sweetened tea. Nice room note. Tin note is not overwhelmingly strong like a lot of aromatics. Decent nicotine hit but nothing overwhelming. I'll buy it again!

Being born in Alabama I have a certain affinity for sweet tea. So I reckoned I’d pick up a jar and see how I liked it. The tin (jar) note is definitely that of sweet tea, earthy, grassy, and sugar cane sweet. My first smoke was a tad moist but still burned clean and I kind of expected that since I just popped the jar. There was a subtle sweetness but I still got a little spice from the orientals. More spice in the retrohale though. Pleasantly sweet room note but not a strong sweet smell like most other aromatics. This was more like a very mild cigar smell but with sugar cane if you can imagine that. It mellowed through the middle and finished nice. I enjoyed it in a Missouri Meerschaum churchwarden so I’d recommend a cob for this and I paired it with a glass of Woodford Reserve Bourbon. Overall, I liked it. We'll see how it ages. And since it comes in a jelly jar I can reuse that forever so worth it even if you don’t like it…. If only I had a rocking chair…....Read More

I don’t get the hate. It literally smells and taste like (semi) sweet tea. It’s mild but refreshing. Not overtly flavored but it’s subtle and pleasant. It’s everything I love about a Jeremy Reeves subtlety sweetened Virginia Turkish without ANY of the edge. Sipping is literally mouthwatering and puffing is without bite.
