This won't blow you away, but it's a lovely, even tempered Cavendish that doesn't overpower. I like it at all times of day.

I rarely smoke aromatic. The pouch smell was delightful with hints of cinnamon. I lit up and then experienced a smooth scented flavor, sweet but not cloying. A blend made in heaven.

At first light, I found a lot of sweetness between the brandy and the tobaccos. The Burley gives it some body. This is not a black cavendish - but a browner leaf.. A much more fruity & alcohol flavoring. I could imagine, however, a batch to batch or even a tin to tin difference, as is my personal experience with C&D. A big, boozy tin note gives way to a rather thin smoke without much more than semi-sweet alcohol on the palate. I love a good brandy as much as the next guy, but the almost medicinal flavor of the topping overwhelms the tobaccos in this one. Smokes hot if pushed but doesn't bite. If you're looking to taste nothing more than what you smell out of the tin, this one's for you. I bought this in bulk, not the tin. But the tin/bag note was beautiful. The smoke is enjoyable as an aromatic but has the substance of a mild english. Very tasty. For my tastes, this is perfect because I sometimes want something easy-going in the evening but most aromatics are a little too easy going while english or burley blends are stronger than I want on some evenings. It's very booze-forward, but if you like that sort of thing it's very tasty. I taste a distinct coconut flavor upon lighting...might just be me, but I like it.
