Otherwise stick to the Golden Sliced! Does get harsh and bitey if you push it.
Redburn and Pegasus are some lighter options which I recommend if you don’t like perique. I have yet to try GLP Barbary Coast or Haunted Bookshop....Read More

What I appreciate most is that Old Joe Krantz does not try to be delicate. It has real presence. The flavors are robust and tobacco-forward, but they remain balanced rather than chaotic. Smoked slowly, the nuttiness deepens, the spice becomes more integrated, and the blend develops a rich, almost old-fashioned character that feels wonderfully honest.
This is the kind of tobacco that reminds me why I enjoy Burley so much. It is strong enough to satisfy, complex enough to stay interesting, and distinctive enough to earn a permanent place in the rotation.

ality on the retrohale that I’m assuming is the Perique making itself known. But the dominant flavor is unmistakably leather. I taste leather. A lot of leather.
