Product: Drucquer & Sons Inns of Court 100g
The first time I walked into Drucquer & Sons University Ave. shop in the early eighty's this was one of the first blends recommended to me, and smoked it regularly. After finishing five bowls, I have to say that this is better than the original. ... Read More
The taste is about what I remember, semi sweet, rich but mild all day smoke that leaves a pleasant after taste on your palate wanting more, but it seems like a more refined and complete blend. The old version had a tendency to smoke a little hot and bite if not careful, this does not. Greg thanks for bringing back an old friend, you did good. Read Less

This is a fantastic blend. its so light but at the same time extremely complex, you can sit back and close your eyes and just try to pick out all the different flavors that come from this amazing baccy, Nuts, plum, a little Fig Newton, toast and whea... Read More

An absolutely wonderful all-day English blend. I opened this tin because I needed something that would stand up to multiple bowls as I worked on an extended writing project. This blend more than met that requirement.
With a new tin, this smokes ... Read More
best for me after having "breathed" for 15 or 20 minutes, allowing the mixture to reach a level of sustainable combustibility that released the wonderful subtleties of this blend while remaining bite free. Highly recommended if you are new to English mixtures or looking for a good "all-day smoke". Read Less
Great hybrid for the non-latakia smokers

This blend is one of the 3 blends with Latakia that I am stocking up on. I normally hold anything with Latakia in disdain, but Mr. Pease has done a great job with the Latakia, where it rounds out any rough edges , instead of bombarding you with a bon... Read More
fire or smoky leather. The small amount of Latakia also adds a nice creamy texture to the smoke, which would make this a nice evening or cold winter's day smoke. I get creamy, nutty notes and just a hint of hay from the Virginia. Due to the low percentage of Latakia, this blend won't cost your mouth for hours like others will (MM965 I'm looking at you) so it is repeatable. Great blend! Read Less

I love these tins. They are so classic in their presentation. This blend is slightly sweet, slightly salty blend with great balance. Mostly you get a VaPer touch, and a Burley and Latakia touch, and points where all of that mix into a complex, and co... Read More
mfortable mixture. But it's not overly complex. Mostly, you get the cocoa and nuttiness of Burleys and the flavors of the other ingredients playing off of that. The combustion is great and its flavors and aromas are accessible when sipped. Read Less

I can definitely tell this is made of the highest quality leaf and the ribbon cut is so perfectly fine it lit with one light and stayed lit the whole smoke. The Virginias, burly and perique are very evident. However, the Latakia is imperceptible both... Read More
visually, in the tin note and the smoke. I dug around in the tin and failed to find any dark leaf. It's quite disappointing as an English blend which is what I was looking for. I'll have to try the other blends in the line that promise more Latakia. Read Less
