The more I smoke this the more I want to smoke it.... Very nice blend of VA and Per. in a flake cut. Fantastic flavors from the Virginia and Perique combo, they play in harmony and deliver a great smoke.

is different, but wonderful. LPF is a Virginia-forward, medium-bodied flake with no shortage of complexity in flavor and aroma. The extensive hot-pressing method which GH uses to make its flakes imparts very pleasant flavors to its Virginias, which are in full-force here. It makes for a smoke that's mellow on the tongue, yet very flavorful—indeed, you can have your cake and eat it too. Subtle flavors of pepper and figs from the Perique come through in every puff, just enough to make it really special and very enjoyable for fans of the 'truffle' of tobaccos. Golden brown, flue-cured Virginias are central to this flake, with a savory taste and zero tongue-bite. These Virginias are more on the savory end of the spectrum, and less grassy/hay-like. There is some noticeable Lakeland essence in this flake, and in my experience, it seems to refine and become more noticeable with time. Nicotine strength is about a 5 out of 10. Like most GH products, LPF's room note isn't likely to please non-smokers, but it's very pleasant to the piper. Overall, not a flake to be ignored by GH fans. Read Less

新草有巧克力的调香味道，淡淡的湖区味。随着时间的推移，这两种味道都会淡去。剩下酸酸甜甜以及麦香混合着一丝辣味。力道适中 ，草质很好，烟灰很白，燃烧的很好，斗温偏高。总之这款草要有耐心给一段时间陈化，之后会变的异常好抽，适合整天抽的一款好草。

s, so beware if you're sensitive to that. It also has a slight chocolate flavor to it that i love. This flake behaves much better when dried out and I suspect it will improve from aging as well. Nicotine content is about medium. I rubbed it out and it was delicious. I think this will age quite well.
Update: I have been smoking this for a couple of weeks now and it reminds me of Dunhill Elizabethan Mix., but with a hint of Lakeland essance. It's still very good to me and I am a huge fan of Elizabethan Mix. so I'm going to change my rating to 4 stars. Read Less

cotine sneaks up on you; its so smooth I smoked two bowls back to back and then when I stood up realized the room was spinning! I don't taste the Lakeland essence at all with this one. When it arrived, it was not in a fancy package with artistic pictures.It was a plain zip lock bag. In it was an unpretentious, but nice-looking solid brownish brick of tobacco. Appearances can be deceiving.
Upon opening the bag, my sense of smell was overwhelmed by delicious notes of cocoa and nuts, and a clean pure tobacco aroma. It smelled so good I wanted to eat it, rather than smoke it. No kidding...this is some high-quality stuff.
I rubbed it out and packed in one of my beloved Missouri Meerschaum Cob pipes, and applied fire. it took a bit to get it burning just right, but my diligence was more than rewarded. It quickly settled down to a rich and very flavorful smoke with a great natural sweetness from the tobacco, a little spice from the perique, and gentle caresses of cocoa. The room note was outstanding, with a clean tobacco smell and overtones of cocoa, without being overpowering.
It stayed that way to the end. It never burned, gurgled or tried to go out and burned to a fine clean ash all the way to the bottom of the bowl. The only bad part of is is that the smoke did come to an end, sadly. I couldn't wait for my next bowl of it.
When you order this, be sure it is a large quantity, because you'll be smoking it a lot......
Of course, if you are not fond of sweet tobaccos, this may not be your cup of tea. But the sweetness is not from casing. Just the great tobacco they used. You might want to give it try, anyway. Read Less
