It was sampled in a Missouri pride.
I’m not sure exactly what defines in English into the category of a Balkan or not, but I feel like this is close to a Balkan blend if not spot on for one. I’ll have to do some research into that but suffice it to say it has characteristics of some blends that I really like such as Sasini, Sobranie, White Horse, and Black House. One thing though is it is lighter or softer than any of the others I just mentioned.
The Burley and Latakia base is beautiful - like I said the smoke is leathery, but it’s soft and familiar. What I find interesting are the Oriental and Perry components both of which I tend to associate with spicy or brightness. For example, I seem to not notice the perique in the smoke as much as I noticed it in the after taste and it’s very beautiful there and the oriental I believe is contributing to a citrusy brightness and warmth but not a spice but again I like that there too.
This is probably not the best way to describe it and you’ll either get it or you won’t, but it’s almost like a mixed half a tin of Balkan Sasini and half a tin of Early Morning Pipe.
It’s a pleasurable blend. I have smoked several bowls of it over the past two days actually, and that will get added to the cellar to a reasonable degree.

Decent medium body English

Odessa is decently balanced in blend. Cool smoke, no bite, medium bodied. What I do notice is that similar cigar characteristic of it growing steadily more intense as it burns down. It concentrates to a dizzying apex of rich flavor at the bottom of the bowl. Lovely English altogether.
