About This Pipe Tobacco

A heavy Latakia blend with Burley, bright Virginia flake, and a good amount of natural-cut cigar leaf. Billy Budd was created for C&D's late friend Sailorman Jack.

I have mostly gone back to cigars and have not smoked my pipes in the warm months. But in winter, I love this blend because it is similar to smoking a cigar. This is the coolest smoking pipe blend I have found.
And, this, it one of the only pipe blends I can smoke any more.

I love this blend so much. The cigar leaf brings that weight and volume of smoke I like cigars for, but the sweet and deep muskiness I love from pipe tobacco. Good amount of nicotine thanks to the Burley, perfect latakia seasoning to balance it out. This one's a hit with the pipe buddies too. I think G.L. Please's Robusto is better if you want a blend with some that taste more like a Maduro wrapped cigar. The Cigar Leaf in this is scarce and just tastes like spicy, natural wrapper cigar leaf. This is a good, well-balanced smoke though. There's nothing gimmicky or fancy about it. Personally, it's one that I always want to have around. Next time I get some, I'll probably blend in some more cigar leaf with it....Read More

Tin note is pretty latakia heavy. Honestly expected alittle more from this blend. The Burley is there, but very submissive. The Virginia's are alot more present to my palate, and the cigar leaf does give just a hit of a leather to it. All and all is a decent smoke. Can bite if its fresh from tin upon light up and relights. Room note is nice for an English. Not my favorite, but definitely not bad. Give it a try, maybe itll be right up your alley....Read More

Not bad for a good plain old smoke ,about as close to a cigar as you can get from pipe tobacco. My taste buds must be broken because I don't taste the nuttiness others mention but as an all around smoke it's good. Decent amount of smoke and stayed lit well with minimal relishes. Nicotine wasn't bad but I'm used to smoking cigars. I wouldn't want this for all day, it's a little strong for that....Read More
