A truly fabulous tobacco, another winner from Germain's. Really interesting hay-like, almost citrus flavour and then some deeper, darker fruitiness interspersed throughout the smoke. Cool smoking, no bite and gentle on the nicotine.

I had a tin of this about four years back, and recently wrestled a tin away from these folks. I thought about letting it age for a year, but decided to enjoy it now, although I let it breathe a bit in a mason jar for about two months. It's a beautiful, soft flake that burns down to a perfect white/gray ash and which leaves no wetness or dottle in the bowl. No tongue bite, just pure flavor and a goodly amount of vitamin N. This flake has zero similarities to any other Virginia flake I have smoked. Very rich and robust with an almost cigar leaf like quality. Not at all what I was expecting. It is also on the high side of the nicotine spectrum(think ODF). The tin note was dreadful imo. It was a smell I could only compare to that of a bottle of dried fish flake food. Very peculiar to say the least. While I have a ton of respect and appreciation for Germains blends in general this one is not suited to my personal taste. Very serious and robust blend....Read More
