The charring light might underwhelm you. This is the dark richness I've heard so much about? Then the flavors settle into your taste buds and you think "wow, maybe there is something to it." You keep puffing and things start to get spicy. The smoke may very well threaten to overwhelm, but you can't put it down. You're halfway through the bowl. You start to notice flavors that seem to come out of nowhere - dark fruit, wood smoke, fatty brisket falling apart at the touch. You look down and, without knowing it, you've smoked to the bottom of the bowl. Time to pack another one....Read More

This is a tobacco everyone should try. Its strong but doesnt seem to be. First time I smoked this, I thought i'm glad I got the pound size.

I find the flake just a tad richer or bolder. I bought the pound to save money and was not disappointed. I like to leave the flakes intact so a regular mouth pint jar works, the wide mouth is just a bit shorter. To save money I cut the flake into cubes and mix it 50/50 with ready rubbed. Helps the burn while still giving me the richer flavor of the flake....Read More

Package note of pungent barbecue, wood, and tart fruit. The dark brown tobacco flakes are easily rubbed out, moisture content necessitates a little drying. Burns slow with a few more than normal of relights. The strength is medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium and consistent, with complex notes of tangy sweet, very woody, smoked herbs, tart sour/mild vinegary, moderately spicy, dry earth, mild floral, lemon grass, roasted nuts, and a peppery retro. Dark Fired Kentuckey Burleys are leading with flue cured Virginias supporting. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is outstanding....Read More
