Cracking the seal on this tin is like cracking the seal on a 1,000-year-old tomb, except this is less likely to leave you with a generational curse. I was instantly greeted by the most enticing and spectacular tin note—slightly sweet, with an elusive smell of spices and incense long lost to the sands of time. I loaded my pipe and was pleasantly surprised at the ease with which it packed; the ribbon contained the perfect amount of moisture directly out of the tin. Then, finally, I lit it and was instantly transported to a realm of flavor I knew not was possible: subtle notes of sweet bread with butter and honey, all with an almost cinnamon and cardamom background. Spicier than Miskatonic, less sweet, but an an all round great smoke. Didn't detect any chocolate, or chocolate covered cherries in it it, but did detect it's spiciness, offers more than Miskatonic. After I get over this cold, I'll amend this review, but fir now my sense of smell is still a little off, and my taste is lacking....Read More

This is hands down my favourite blend I’ve had. C&D along with G.L. Pease did an excellent job crafting this blend, and I intend to spend an entire day loading bowl after bowl of this blend while reading cosmic horror books. Seriously, this blend is that good. Tin notes of chocolate leading to chocolate covered cherries when smoking, with a nice peppery flourish. Excellent blend, will be perfect for autumn. I’m a larger fan the Miskatonic as I believe the additional sweetness from the sweet black cavendish brings out and enhances the oriental flavors significantly, but this is a good smoke and I would recommend trying it out if you haven’t already. While I find the Miskatonic a better mixture, others may not feel the same way. This blend has a more dry creaminess akin to coconut milk....Read More
