容易点燃，有明显的木香和青草的风味。适量的果酸也能很好的体现。烟雾中伴有淡淡的咸味。可能会有些许辣感。烟气过鼻，你能感受到它会有一些劲道。他没有太多弗吉尼亚的新草气，可能是因为白肋的加入，很好的综合掉了一部分。一斗过半后，开始出现坚果的香气，慢慢伴随着焦香。偶尔会出现一些类似于花香的味道。结尾是烘烤谷物的风味。总的来说，这款草变化单一，层次缺少，很多风味其实都是比较细微的，并不容易捕捉。这款草整体清雅平淡。

subtle sweeter chocolate notes. Towards the end it reminded me of Tareyton cigarettes, and I have enjoyed a few of those, back in the day. There add slogan was, “I’d rather fight, than switch,” and featured smokers with a black eye, and cigarette dangling from their lip. They were good quality, and had a unique and enjoyable flavor.

Nice ribbon cut. Burns well right from tin, but could use some dry time. Not my favorite Virginia blend, but I liked the transition of flavors, and I understand why people enjoy this blend. It is not overly sweet. I think I will treat it like Cheeze-it’s cheese, and give it a time-out in the corner to think about it, and mature a little. I might try stoving some in an old Altoids tin, just to play Dr. Frankenstein with it. Enjoy. Read Less

in various cuts. Halfway through the bowl I had a revelation. ‘This is my blend!’. I found it. Perfection. Beautiful notes of sweetness and sugar with a beautiful floral aspect. I have always considered Solani’s Virginia Flake to be the gold standard of Virginia based smokes. This blend manages the clean flavor and refreshing taste while also using burley. This shall become my daily smoke for as long as I can acquire it. It’s remarkable and I can’t see any pipe smoker finding many things to complain about with this blend. Read Less

A very nice mellow, mild to medium VA. Beautiful ribbon cut, very uniform. Takes a lite very well, only one re-light required to finish the bowl.
Smokes dry and cool. Cooler than many other ribbon cut VA's. Smokes to a fine silvery ash.

Light tea, hay, fruit (citrus) flavors coming through with the smoke - most pronounced when exhaled through the nose.
A naturally sweet bright VA flavor all in all. It's a very nice blend. I'll be ordering more, I think this will age quite nicely. Hopefully this will be released in the large bags as well.

I appreciate very much. Almost the lightest touch of perfume, for lack of a better term.
The first puff is filled with delicious flavors. Sweetness, a quality Virginia taste, and even a hint of saltiness. The Burley is unobtrusive but present, and adds solid body here which is another huge plus for me. The combination is so we'll executed here that is brings out the best of both worlds, and whatever the casing is it reminds me of a very light, barely noticeable esoterica type.
Very consistent burn all the way down, which in my book is an achievement with the ready rubbed. The flavor is maintained and intensifies slightly near the bottom, where the Burley is most evident but not dominant.
I can't wait to see what this tastes like in a year or two. I'll have to buy a new tin or two to find out because I'll be smoking this one. Read Less

This is a very pleasing Virginia, I find myself reaching for this in the mornings as the taste is mellow and sweet. If you are a fan of Dunhill Virginia, give this. Try

This is a really good VA blend that burns all the way down and doesn't provide any bite. The subtle sweetness of the VA is great. this is easily an all day smoke for me. pick up a couple tins because this is going to age amazingly well!

e usual bright Virginia flavors are here in full force, but are complimented by the drier nuttiness of Burley—but not outshined. This is the two varietals in perfect harmony (as I see it). 40 Virginia is in some ways similar to C&D's Briar Fox, but the source of the leaf seems to be the most significant variable, and the flavor it noticeably different. I love this blend! It can certainly be an "all day" smoke, and is good year-round, although it'll most likely find its way into your rotation during the warmer months of the year. Personally, I enjoy it mostly during springtime, when just a little Burley is nice to have. Additionally, this is a great blend for those who generally avoid plain Virginias in favor of Burley blends; it bridges the gap quite nicely. Although certainly not "Beacon", it is absolutely worth a try for pipers like myself who love straight Virginia blends but like to venture just a little off the beaten path here and there. Read Less

Exactly as described. This is an excellent blend! It has become my daily smoke. Everyone should try this,even if you're not a huge fan of most Virginias.

If McBaren VA #1 and Erinmore were to have a child - this would be it.
Hints of fruitiness and sweetness like Erinmore. Light clean VA like #1 - best of both in one tin. It's quite enjoyable.
