Unique and complex aromatic

o far. Don't be confused, this is definitely an aromatic and has plenty of sweetness but you still get some natural tobacco flavor. The burley really stands out and is very similar in flavor to Solani aged burley flake, not the typical burley you find in most aromatics. You will obviously taste the black cavendish but the virginia helps add natural tobacco sweetness and flavor so you don't just taste cavendish. The mango topping is subtle and after the initial light it really only shows up on the after taste which i really appreciate. It allows you to taste the tobacco then gives you the flavoring after. The chemically aftertaste that i usually find in aromatics is very minimal on this which is another reason why i like this blend. It smokes slow and is not goopy. I also appreciate the fact that it comes as a flake. It allows the flavors to meld and tastes much more rich and full than most other aromatics I have tried. Interestingly enough it also ages well. Just like aged virginias the natural sweetness and complexity builds and it has a nice deep bready flavor. Like a dessert pastry. However the mango flavor completely disappears and natural sweetness is all that is left. If you are a non aromatic smoker in search of an aromatic you can tolerate give this a chance....Read More

Great Burn, Average Taste

I dried this flake for a couple days, and it lit and burned like a dream. No relighting needed. It had a sweet raisin aroma in the tin, but it had very little to no flavor. Still a pleasant smoke and I liked the flake cut of this.

lavored tobaccos. The burley comes through as a little nutty and a little brown sugar. I smoked this in a thinner, deeper bowl as I would a straight Virginia or a folded flake. I think a larger bowl may bite a little. Sip it like a tropical beverage and enjoy. Very palatable in warmer weather where other aro tobaccos can be cumbersome....Read More

k to this one I was left wishing I could taste tobacco. And, it doesn't (to me anyway) taste much like Mango or any other tropical fruit much either. The taste is just an amalgamation of strange individual flavors that fight each other until the whole team suffers. I'd really like to know if this flake starts out as 633? If it does...man, what a waste? And, at Solani's price range this tobacco left me sorry I hadn't gone for two other tobaccos instead. The flake is standard to most Solani flakes in size and thickness. Moisture content was pretty wet. I tried it fresh, then dried, and then aged versions of both moist and dry. It lights and burns fine under all these conditions, with the dry samples having less of that peculiar flavor I mentioned, and the moist samples needing way more re-lights obviously. It will burn clean and leave a dry bowl which is nice. Overall I think this could be a good tobacco, but the flavor just didn't suit my palate. I guess it may work for someone who likes aromatics and wants to try an aromatic flake, but there are so many other flakes, even other Solani flakes I'd recommend ahead of Tropical Mango Flake. For a nice refreshing light fruity flake, my go-to is Erinmore. Hope this helps....Read More
