About This Pipe
Few pipe makers master the sandblasting cabinet to the level of Michael Parks, and this Brandy ably demonstrates his skill at imbuing a pipe with the most attractive texturing to accompany a briar block's natural grain. The tight growth rings ascend the bowl in undulating, horizontal rings to a slightly concave rim with a smooth interior bevel. The curvaceous nature of this shape is perhaps most apparent with the sweep of its heel, which offers a natural arc from the accent at the end of the shank to the forward flank of the bowl. This pipe features complex accent work, with a band of pale, natural horn followed by a cap of titanium, which is lighter and stronger than steel and is particularly attractive in its greyish, gunmetal sheen. The stem expands gently before tapering to the downturned lip button, promising wonderful balance both visually and for hands-free smoking.
