Sandblasted Dublin (Three Clubs) (2022) Tobacco Pipe

As a third-generation artisan, Federico Becker carries on the tradition established by his grandfather Fritz and his father Paolo. Working in Italy, he often draws from classic English design, blending those influences with the distinct Becker aesthetic. His pipes are defined by clean lines, balanced proportions, and finishes that range from polished smooths to deep, expressive sandblasts.

This Dublin pairs Becker's signature sandblast with a tall, gently flared bowl and a distinctive heel. Though the heel itself is flat, a small section of briar at its forward edge creates the pointed appearance, carrying the profile's implied, canted lines into the base and lending the profile a sense of forward movement. The bowl's walls rise with a subtle outward flare before drawing inward toward the rim, which features a softly inflated edge that adds a gentle accent to the otherwise slender silhouette. A narrow shank and elongated tapered stem extend from the bowl, maintaining the pipe's refined proportions. Across the stummel, the crisp sandblast reveals tightly stacked growth rings climbing from heel to rim, while the dark stain lends the briar a rustic character.
