About This Pipe
As a third-generation artisan, Federico Becker carries on the tradition established by his grandfather Fritz and his father Paolo. Working in Italy, he often draws from classic English design, blending those influences with the distinct Becker aesthetic. His pipes are defined by clean lines, balanced proportions, and finishes that range from polished smooths to deep, expressive sandblasts.
This particular Dublin is dressed in the latter finish and exemplifies Becker's signature style. A tall, dramatically flared bowl rises from a flat heel, whose forward-canting profile is created by the bowl's pronounced cant—a hallmark of the Becker workshop. The softly inflated rim provides a subtle visual accent, complementing the bowl's elegant silhouette. In contrast, a slender shank and elongated tapered stem lend the composition a refined sense of balance and lightness. The stummel's crisp sandblast highlights tightly stacked growth rings climbing from the heel to the rim, while the rim itself displays a richly textured field of birdseye.
