Smooth Canadian (03) (AT) Tobacco Pipe

In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. A thoroughly Italian take on the classic Canadian shape, this piece from Caminetto features a tall, thick-walled bowl that stands at the fore of a lengthy oval shank and an abbreviated, tapered mouthpiece. The bowl is crowned with a craggy stretch of plateau, lending this classic shape an organic disposition. The stummel is dressed in a dark, smoky stain that highlights the briar's impressive flame grain.
