About This Pipe

One of the biggest names in Italian pipe making today, Castello's roots can be traced back to 1947, when Carlo Scotti founded the workshop and began producing handmade briar pipes. In a time of quantity over quality in Italy's pipe-making history, Scotti flipped the script by prioritizing craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and cutting-edge engineering. Today, the brand remains committed to these principles, producing exquisite pipes like this Kino Collection Billiard.

The Kino Collection was created in honor of the late Franco "Kino" Coppo, Carlo Scotti's successor, who was known for the unparalleled level of craftsmanship and care that he demonstrated throughout his long career. The Kino Collection numbers just 100 pieces per year, with this Billiard being the 27th piece for 2026. Embodying the spirit of Kino's legacy, this offering is impeccably designed and decorated. The stummel wears a striking dual finish, with the left flank dressed in a crisp rustication and the right flank dressed in a smooth, glossy finish — both unified by the same vibrant auburn stain and complemented by an embossed silver band at the junction. Moreover, it's stamped with Kino's signature, adding another sentimental touch to this lovely tribute to the late artisan.
