About This Pipe
Italian artisan Claudio Cavicchi boasts over 50 years of pipe making experience and possesses an uncanny talent for bringing out the very best from a block of briar. This handsome bent Apple is but one example of his expertise.
This offering showcases bold, Italian neoclassical proportions with a voluptuous bowl, thick transition, shapely shank, and broad saddle stem. The stem's deep bend promotes a comfortable smoking posture and the full curves of the bowl lend the pipe a pleasing in-hand presence. The texture of the stummel also offers a stimulating presence in hand, its waves of ring grain drawn out by one of Cavicchi's exceptionally crisp sandblasts. Said sandblast imbues the piece with an air of rugged sophistication, especially with the Black stain that accompanies it.
