His portfolio is full of evocative interpretations of classic shapes, and he is known by many artisans to have some of the best grain in the world, with even his non-graded pipes rivaling the top-tier pieces of other workshops. Having received Cavicchi's "CCCC" designation, this bent Dublin is quite impeccable. In true Italian fashion, the bowl is quite sizable, and it draws the eye toward the broad, tilted rim. The bowl's walls perfectly showcase the beautiful grain that earned this piece its four-C grade. Behind the bowl, a softly angular transition introduces a stylized shank-and-stem arrangement featuring a fetching band of spalted beechwood at the junction. The beechwood's pale coloring and dark, swirling striations make the perfect bridge between the stummel's smooth, honey-blonde finish and the classic jet-black of the acrylic stem.
