About This Pipe
Named after an Italian nobleman, Ser Jacopo was founded by famous craftsman Giancarlo Guidi after he left the Maestro de Paja workshop. The Ser Jacopo workshop is known for creating the Pesaro shaping aesthetic and crafting classically rendered Italian pipes with unique, flourished finishes. The workshop's Maxima stamp signifies some of the largest pipes they offer, each one a stunning example of Italian craftsmanship, with this particular bent Billiard having received that stamp.
This full-bodied, robust version of the Oom Paul shape from Ser Jacopo features a tall bowl with plenty of chamber depth within. Like many Oom Pauls, this one has a flat heel that allows it to sit sturdily upright, while the shank and elongated stem rise nearly vertically in back. Dressed in a dark rustication and with an extra-tall Maxima bowl, this pipe is pleasantly balanced, sure to appeal to fans of dramatized, Italian proportions.
