Smooth Bent Dublin (CCCCC) Tobacco Pipe

Italian artisan Claudio Cavicchi boasts over 50 years of pipe-making experience and possesses an uncanny talent for bringing out the very best from a block of briar. His portfolio is full of evocative interpretations of classic shapes, and he is known by many artisans to have some of the best grain in the world, with even his non-graded pipes rivaling the top-tier pieces of other workshops.

This bent Dublin from Cavicchi was rewarded an impressive five-C grade for its excellent grain and shaping. Grade aside, it's also just a charming piece all around, with hearty, palm-filling proportions. The swell of the bowl's fore wall conforms to the curves of the hand nicely, and the demurely bent stem promotes a comfortable smoking posture. The bowl boasts thick, insulating walls decorated by impressive flame grain, and even some straight grain on the left flank, while birdseye swirls around the rim and the top and underside of the shank. These beautiful grain patterns are accentuated by Cavicchi's signature smooth, hoeny-blonde finish, which imbues the composition with an ample dose of inviting warmth.
