About This Pipe
Dunhill's Quaint series celebrates shapes that fall outside the marque's standard chart, offering collectors pipes of rare distinction. Exemplifying the line's uniqueness, this Group 4 Bulldog presents an upright bowl that rises from a firm heel and flares subtly to a ridgeline-wrapped waist before tapering gently to a flat rim. A trim diamond-shaped shank extends from the bowl, its crisp lines echoing the bowl's own geometry. A tapered mouthpiece completes the ensemble, its cumberland hues harmonizing with the rustic County sandblast dressing the stummel.
Like the Cumberland finish, Dunhill's County line pairs rich, cumberland stems with delightfully textured sandblasts. Typically, County pieces wear a lighter stain, often falling between the Cumberland and Tanshell hues, and since its introduction in 1986, with only a brief hiatus, the County remains stalwart within Dunhill's portfolio, especially desired by lovers of brindled vulcanite and warm sandblasts.
