About This Pipe

Jason Mouton is a Louisiana-based artisan whose work, with its compact and muscular proportions, are based in the American style of pipe making. Epitomizing Mouton's stylistic inclinations, this bent Dublin is a brawny and tight-knit expression of the classic shape. Though it measures less than five inches in length, it still manages to boast a fairly capacious chamber, making it a good fit for a longer smoke. The luscious curve underscoring the stummel conforms comfortably to the palm thanks to an uplifted heel and plump fore wall. Black sandblasted growth rings ripple up the bowl's walls into an inflated rim that's been left smooth to show off mesmerizing swirls of cherry red, smoke-like birdseye. The shank face has been given similar treatment, though on a smaller scale, providing a sense of balance. Said shank flares out of the tight transition, creating a pocket between its face in the rim to drape a digit. Out back, the saddle stem has a thick, cylindrical base that rests nestled within the shank face for a snug appearance. All in all, this bent Dublin from Mouton strikes a beautiful balance in color and form.
