About This Pipe
With over a decade of experience, Chinese artisan Lv Zelong began his journey into pipe making in 2009 after discovering pipe smoking as a hobby. He refined his craftmanship under the mentorship of respected makers Ping Zhan and Lan Zhenjun, developing a style inspired by classic Danish artisans while expressing his own creative and aesthetic vision. Zelong's pipes are prized for their organic shaping, tasteful accent work, and meticulous finishing and drilling, all reflecting his commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and comfortable, reliable smoking performance.
This bent Dublin nicely displays his organic nature; its expressive design and striking accents make it quite the eye-catcher. One of the most compelling parts of this design is the well-defined transition, creating the ideal place to drape a digit and giving the overall profile a fluid, Horn-like character. There is some extra substance about the foremost wall, allowing the bowl to dominate the profile and providing ample room to showcase the rim's captivating birdseye. The shank is extended with a section of dark horn, which dramatically flares to the base of the stylized vulcanite stem. The stummel is sandblasted, emphasizing dense tendrils of flame grain along the bowl's flanks, while its dark hue nicely contrasts with the light, smooth rim.
