About This Pipe
La Bruyere pipes are carved by Thomas Manzoni, a seasoned artisan who spent nearly two decades honing his craft at the Chapuis-Comoy factory in Saint-Claude, France — the genesis of modern pipe making. The weight of Saint-Claude's history is not lost on Manzoni, as he draws endless inspiration from both the pipe-making institutions and artisans around him. Having trained under skilled craftsmen Pierre Morel and Bruno Nuttens, Manzoni has cultivated a refined style that is sure to delight those drawn to updated takes on Anglo-French designs.
This Billiard from La Bruyere boasts a tall yet well-proportioned bowl paired to a round, arrow-straight shank and a brindled acrylic stem whose colorful ripples evoke an image of swirling galaxies. The stummel wears a rich, smooth, mahogany finish, which does a brilliant job of highlighting the briar's hearty flame grain and tightly coiled birdseye. A refreshing take on the shape-chart standard, this Billiard is sure to please any fan of the iconic silhouette.
