Smooth Acorn (S1) (2026) Tobacco Pipe

Rooted in the centuries-old pipe-making tradition of Saint-Claude, La Bruyere reflects the craftsmanship and understated style of artisan Thomas Manzoni. For the past 15 years, Manzoni has worked at Chapuis-Comoy, specializing in pipe assembly for everything from classic shapes to spigots and army mounts, while also developing his own skills as a pipe maker. Trained by Pierre Morel and Bruno Nuttens, his work embraces a contemporary-classic aesthetic, pairing pure, traditional shapes with carefully selected briar, morta, olive wood, and other fine materials, all with an emphasis on creating pipes that smoke as beautifully as they look.

This Acorn by La Bruyere features a tall, upright bowl, its walls flaring gently toward a high-set waistline before tapering inward to the trim rim. A low-slung transition leads into the sleek shank, which flows into an acrylic stem in swirling shades of blue and white, evoking the movement and colors of the ocean. The stummel is dressed in a warm honey-hued stain that brings out wispy vertical grain along the bowl, with clusters of birdseye throughout.
