Smooth Bent Billiard (U) (2511) Tobacco Pipe

A smooth bent Billiard with massive bowl and subtle gray-and-black vulcanite mouthpiece, this Roush composition supports the bowl dimensions with a very high transition, with the abbreviated shank rising to meet the softly tapered stem and leaving virtually all of the visual weight with the bowl. The rim is very wide to accompany the thick insulating walls of the bowl, and it's asymmetrical in height, bowing softly up in profile and then down again in a convex curve along the axis of the shank. Larry's contrast stain does its work wonderfully, differentiating the individual strands of grain in flame patterns around the bowl. Though not particularly long, it's a big pipe in hand, one you won't forget is there, and one you won't be able to forget after tasting the smoking properties of a Roush pipe.
