About This Pipe
Mastro Geppetto, a sub-brand of Ser Jacopo, produces handmade pipes with the same playful, inventive shaping as their parent brand, but at a more approachable price point. This Liscia bent Dublin is one of the latest offerings from the Italian workshop, and it showcases their penchant for crafting bold, eye-catching pieces.
Though this offering measures a little over 4.5 inches in length — a compact design that verges on Nosewarmer territory — it still retains plenty of bold Italian shaping. The bowl dominates the composition, its thick walls and crisp, dramatic rimward flare immediately drawing the eye. Said bowl is paired to a muscular, languidly bent shank-and-stem arrangement that promotes a comfortable clench. Mellow and inviting to the eye, this offering wears a light, smooth finish and is topped off by a warm, amber-hued acrylic stem. The former highlights an array of stunning grain — particularly the crisp, clear birdseye found throughout the bowl.
