About This Pipe
Paolo Becker and Massimo Musico crafted Becker & Musico pipes together, with Paolo on the lathe and Massimo focusing on mouthpieces and bands, until 2002 when Paolo turned to crafting pipes under his own name. Today, Massimo continues to make pipes under his own name with a particular focus on slight deviations from typical Anglo-French shapes.
This bent Dublin from Musico is quite light at barely over one ounce and fronted by a traditional, forward-canted conical bowl that displays some handsome grain highlighted by a warm, mahogany-hued stain. The shank is upturned into a silver accent, behind which a saddle stem of vulcanite stretches generously and bends lightly on its way to the bit. The contrast between stain and accent makes this piece truly pop, and its low weight and curvy stem makes for easy clenching in the jaw.
