There are few carvers out there who are as closely affiliated with the Hawkbill shape as Luigi Radice, who was working at the Castello shop when the design first came to prominence. Now, it's one of Radice's more popular shapes. Here, a robust Apple bowl is paired to the Hawkbill's iconic recurve of shank and stem, resulting in the bewitching profile that's beloved by many fans. Furthermore, the Italian marque's earthy, craggy Rind rustication dresses the stummel for plenty of visual and textural appeal. The smooth, honey-blonde-stained rim adds contrast, while the gently downturned stem affords a comfortable smoking posture.
