Autograph Sandblasted Bent Dublin Sitter (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's Autograph series features limited-production, handmade pipes from the Italian marque, with stummels of specially aged briar that are turned by the workshop's three most experienced carvers. This series allows the artisans to deviate from the marque's typical shape chart, resulting in striking, one-of-a-kind interpretations of classic shapes, including this offering.

This bent Dublin Sitter combines linear, architectural shaping cues with soft organicism for a truly unique take on the classic shape. The bowl's fore takes on a steady, pronounced, linear slope, veering inward toward the narrow, sure-sitting heel. Meanwhile, the aft is slightly more curved, but demonstrates a similar flare toward the rim and taper to the heel. The rim is just slightly oblong, and wide thanks to the bowl's thick, insulating walls. A low-set transition out back introduces a vaulting shank-and-stem arrangement, which bulges out slightly near the junction, adding a touch of soft organic curvature to otherwise rigid form framed by crisp ridgelines. The stummel wears a crisp sandblast under a glossy, rich chestnut stain: the perfect choice to show off every fine detail of the briar's attractive grain.
