Sandblasted Billiard with Horn Tobacco Pipe

Smokin' Barrel Briars is the work of American artisan Ryan McCawley, whose approach blends elements of Danish and English pipe making with his own evolving style. Largely self-taught, Ryan developed his craft through years of restoration, experimentation, and hands-on work, creating pipes that balance traditional influences with a distinctly personal character.

This classic Billiard offers a timeless silhouette enlivened by rich color and carefully considered details. A warm horn accent creates an organic segue between the stem and shank, introducing a touch of contrast without interrupting the design's clean lines. The upright bowl and slender shank lend the pipe a poised, balanced appearance, while a light sandblast reveals the briar's underlying character. Across the bowl, pronounced growth rings and sweeping flame grain emerge, all brought to life through a handsome burgundy stain.
