Brad Pohlmann Sandblasted Canadian (CGW) Tobacco Pipe

This Canadian from Brad Pohlmann does a brilliant job of emphasizing the cross grain and birdseye of the lightly tapered Billiard bowl that stands at the fore of a lengthy, ovoid shank. Brad's sandblast makes it easy and desirable to run the fingers through the grain over and over, but what's especially remarkable is that he managed to finish this pipe at a weight barely over one ounce despite its traditional generous length — in this case, six and one-quarter inches. A light walnut stain gives the piece considerable visual appeal, and a stem of tapered cumberland adds to it. No accent is here to draw the eye, as Brad managed to provide a feast for the senses without one.
