About This Pipe
German pipe maker Werner Mummert boasts a portfolio encompassing everything from classic shapes to architectural, avant-garde pieces. This sandblasted bent Brandy is a slightly more traditional silhouette from the artisan, yet it still exudes Mummert's singular style.
The walls of the bowl balloon outward before tapering tightly at the rim, offering a satisfying, palm-filling presence in hand. The shank-and-stem arrangement is almost Lovat-like, being quite long, proportionally speaking, when compared to the height of the bowl. This additional length offers plenty of room to comfortably drape a digit, and it offers more space to show off one of Mummert's signature sandblasts, which reveals tight stacks of growth rings for plenty of visual and tactile intrigue. Ever the aficionado of colorful accent materials, Mummert has adorned the base of the saddle stem with a multicolored band replete with hues of khaki and emerald green for a subtle pop of contrast against the stummel's auburn stain.
