Cornell & Diehl - We Three Kings 2oz
A genuine attempt at a review.
I don’t usually do reviews because I don’t have the ability to look someone in the eye and say “I’m tasting garden hose water, moccasins, pineapples that were hugged as a child…” However, all of the reviews here were just whining about shipping, so here’s something to even it out: For an aromatic, this one’s real subtle. I don’t know about “confectionery tanginess,” but the brown sugar note rings true. It’s not overpowering, and it just kind of hangs in the air. It has a bit of sharpness on the tip of the tongue, soft on the back. The room note is nicely autumnal, as is the obvious intention. But it’s mostly just a pleasant, almost passive smoke. My only complaint is that the ribbon is kind of long. I use aromatics mostly like a digestif, but this one is more for sitting next to a fire with a brandy or a mulled wine. I dunno. There. That’s my attempt. As you were.
