About This Pipe Tobacco

Inspired by the first widely popular Christmas carol written in the U.S. (1857), We Three Kings alludes to the Magi who traveled to the nativity bearing exotic spices and treasures. Delivering rich Black Cavendish with equal measures of matured Red and Bright Virginias and specially sourced Katerini Turkish leaf, this magical holiday mixture delights with notes of allspice, cinnamon, and vanilla.

We Three Kings is a lightly topped Virginia/Oriental blend, with notes of baked goods enhancing the flue-cured and sun-cured leaves' inherent sweetness and spice. A dark, confectionary tanginess mixes with richer brown sugar tones on the palate, elevated further by a slightly earthy and floral note — reminiscent of freshly baked cookies and other holiday treats. An incredible crossover, this mixture is sure to please Aromatic fans searching for a more tobacco-forward flavor; likewise, Virginia lovers will appreciate We Three Kings' complexity and nuance, enhanced by a room note that's sure to delight.

We Three Kings has a mild strength and taste, with a medium flavoring of cinnamon and vanilla. The room note is pleasant. This is a great blend to enjoy on a cold winter morning, with a cup of hot coffee.

Taste better with a few months of jar time

Product: Cornell & Diehl We Three Kings 2oz
I didn’t really email this when I first opened the tin, now I regret not buying more. The flavors were a bit sharp and green at first but now I get those winter baking spices and bread. A nuanced smoked that has to be sipped.
Light, Subtle, Pleasant

Product: Cornell & Diehl We Three Kings 2oz
Initially I wasnt particularly fond of this blend compared to some of the others I had received around the same time however I recently smoked a bowl and found it to be much better than my previous experience. The taste is soft and sweet smooth and inviting and very warm. Sweet vanilla with a subtle touch of cinnamon and spice that you almost have to search for. At first I did not like how subtle the cinnamon and spice were but lately im enjoying it almost as though it gives me something to search for as im smoking it just as the Magi where searching for the Messiah. This blend tells an elegant story....Read More
A genuine attempt at a review.

I don’t usually do reviews because I don’t have the ability to look someone in the eye and say “I’m tasting garden hose water, moccasins, pineapples that were hugged as a child…” However, all of the reviews here were just whining about shipping, so here’s something to even it out: For an aromatic, this one’s real subtle. I don’t know about “confectionery tanginess,” but the brown sugar note rings true. It’s not overpowering, and it just kind of hangs in the air. It has a bit of sharpness on the tip of the tongue, soft on the back. The room note is nicely autumnal, as is the obvious intention. But it’s mostly just a pleasant, almost passive smoke. My only complaint is that the ribbon is kind of long. I use aromatics mostly like a digestif, but this one is more for sitting next to a fire with a brandy or a mulled wine. I dunno. There. That’s my attempt. As you were....Read More
