On initial charring light, this blend was mild, timid. I wondered if this was blended for Millennial flatlanders driving in their Prius to Starbucks. Then...

othness, boldness. A contemplative smoke. I had to check the blend, no Perique and yet it smoked like a Balkan. Great flavor.

This is an awesome medium English blend. To me it has the same distinctive soft and sweet aroma that Presbyterian has, but there’s a bit more backbone behind it, as well as contrast so while Presbyterian was cloyingly sweet to me this was balanced an... Read More

I have long been a Presbyterian fan...still am, and that will not change. Someone at Low Country created Presbyterian in a flake form that is INCREDIBLE!
This is more English than any Dunhill, or Sam Gawith.

This is one of my first times trying a tobacco with latakia and I must say I love it. This is an amazing tobacco! The flavors are balanced and blended so well.

Again, well done Low Country! Great smoke in the evening when a nice drink and proper time on your hands is in effect. No bite at all to me and flavors came through in different strengths whether sipped or puffed. Will order again and again!
A very good english

Picked this up based on some reviewers likening it Presbyterian Mixture. While I smell and taste some similarities, I wouldn’t go as far to say they taste the same. The put it in musical terms, they are playing similar melodies but at different octav... Read More
es. Presbyterian takes the tenor with bright perfumey notes and lots of sweetness. Cooper is more of a baritone, with a more caramelized sweetness and darker mellower aromas. The tin I have was packed very fresh and moist. Needs some time drying for pleasant smoke. This will surely make it's way into my regular rotation. Read Less

Tin note of sour wine and smoky. Tobacco is a Broken Flake of marbled brown and black with tan streaks. Moisture content is great. Rubs out with little effort. Burns slow with a few relights. The strength is medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detec... Read More
ted. Taste is medium and mostly consistent, with notes of sour wood, smoky, spices, toast, floral, leather, musty vegetation, herbal incense, dry earth, bitter, sugar, peaty, tart and tangy citrus, orange peel/zest, savory, a semi-sweet lemon grassy background note, and a very peppery retro. Virginias are leading with Latakia and Oriental/Turkish supporting. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is great. Read Less

or maybe Balkan? I do find this blend oriental forward, but not "heavy" where it takes over the bowl. the VA's are ripe, and sweet, and the latakia has those smokey/floral undertones that we have all come to know and love. This is a hell... Read More

I wish there was a little more Latakia. Still this is a fantastic crafted medium-bodied English blend. Little smokiness from the Latakia, and a little sweet love from the Virginia. An excellent choice for those who want to try English blends for the... Read More

Just finished a tin of this that I had cellared since 2009. I can see this becoming my #2. Sweet, Cool, Delicious. My #1 is Lancer Slices, but I can see this becoming a good alternative back up for me.

This stuff makes me happy. It reminds me of Presbyterian; if you haven't tried Presbyterian, stop reading this review, add two to your cart, check out next day air, take 5 Ambien, wake up, smoke it, repeat the last step several times, and resume you... Read More
r life. That said, this blend is Presbyterian amplified. Does that mean better? Not necessarily, but it's damn good. The tin aroma is that of a farm. All that nice fresh air, crisp hay, and woodsy notes, but there's some manure there too, but it's nice. The flavor: Full, but not overpowering. It's got some nice peppery notes to go along with it. I don't know what else to say about this blend. It is delightful. Presbyterian with some chutzpah; that is what I would say. If you think a review shouldn't mention another tobacco warmly three times, smoke both of these tobaccos and see what comes to mind. Read Less
