If you enjoy VaBurs, this is a great representation of those blends. Burleys, to me, smoke with the nutty flavor profile of a pecan (pronounced peh-kahn not pee-can) shell. Add the Virginias to it, and you get an all around pleasant and enjoyable smoke. There’s a slight fruitiness in the retrohale. Take your time with it and you won’t get any harshness. Almost as nice as Peterson University Flake (PUF). I have discovered the secret: it must be rubbed out very thoroughly and set to dry for at least 20 minutes. You could even use an herb shredder. Pop the flakes in there, give a few twists, then rub out further with fingertips. It's a bit lighter of body and nicotine than PUF, and the plum topping is less detectable in the bowl. This is definitely one of my all time favorites! It has the most deep, rich flavor from the high quality tobacco's topped with a superb plum flavoring that perfectly complement each other. It was completely bite free no matter how hard I puffed! The room note is heavenly. I went through the whole tin in a few days. Every bowl was consistently delicious 😋, and put a smile 🙂 on my face! Not the same as UF

Product: Rattray's Wallace Flake 50g

It looks similar to Peterson University Flake, but the Peterson is darker. This was rather harsh, and very difficult to keep lit even while dry. True the flavoring is less noticeable here than UF. But UF is one of my favorites, this went in the bin.
