Missouri Meerschaum - Legend 5th Avenue Straight (6mm)
Solid Pipe
This is a solid corn cob compared to my two other cobs from my Let Freedom Ring two pipe starter kit. It smokes really well and feels more sturdy than the other two. With that being said, this will be that last corn cob pipe I buy. There's nothing wrong with corn cob pipes at all but I'm just going to exclusively smoke briars --but I digress. You can't go wrong with this $10 pipe in my opinion. I don't know what the negative reviews are about.

Cornell & Diehl - Pegasus
flavorless
This is a flavorless tobacco that is very steamy and wet when smoked. I should have gotten a Virginia-Burley blend or something without Black Cavendish. Black Cavendish is just too problematic.

Captain Black - Original 7oz
Rubbish
This blend smells good in the can and in the room-note but it tastes like steam because all Black Cavendish is just steam and sweeteners. I don't like any Black Cavendish. I may not like any aromatics. I wouldn't recommend Captain Black or any blend containing more than about 10% Black Cavendish to anyone. Captain Black just has very few good qualities. You are just going to get tongue-bite from the steam and sweeteners more than likely. Captain Black and Black Cavendish just have no soul left in them after all the processing they go through.

G. L. Pease - Robusto 2oz
It might be too good.
G.L. Pease's Robusto might be too good. It's a cool smoke even without the use of a filter. It tastes fantastic. With that being said, I can smoke it so fast and smoke so much of it that I can get nauseous from the sheer amount of nicotine in this blend easily. I haven't tried it with a filter yet.

Peterson - Irish Flake 50g
Meat & Potatoes
At first, I thought this blend was too strong and harsh. After I prepared it, let it air out before packing a bowl, and paired it with a 6mm Activated Charcoal filter, this Peterson Irish Flake has become a good hearty smoke --like meat and potatoes! It's definitely not a snack or an all-day smoke for me but it's what's for dinner.

Missouri Meerschaum - Let Freedom Ring Rob Roy Bent (6mm)
It's growing on me
This Rob Roy cob is growing on me. I didn't like it at first. I got it in the two-pipe Let Freedom Ring Starter Kit. I had to drill the shank out on the 5th Avenue to get the 6mm filter to fit but it's still my favorite of the two pipes.

Missouri Meerschaum - Let Freedom Ring 2 Pipe Set (6mm)
Good first pipes, I guess.
I shouldn't have had to drill that shank out so that a 6mm filter would fit into the 5th Avenue but I did. Otherwise, I really enjoy this pipe. The Rob Roy, I didn't like at first but it's growing on me. Don't pay $40 for a fancy cob when I can spend $50-$60 or less to get a briar unless you are buying your first pipe.

Drilling the shank to allow 6mm filter
I shouldn't have had to drill that shank out so that a 6mm filter would fit but I did. Otherwise, I really enjoy this pipe.
