Peter Stokkebye - PS41 Cube Cut
Long Island Fog
It’s got a wonderful taste. It does need a little bit of dry in my opinion, but it’s nutty and does have a little cocoa going on. The cube cut makes it a little bit difficult to lighten my opinion, even though I dried it out for about a half hour You don’t seem to get that same full body smoky drawer that haunted bookshop or Old Joe Krantz would provide ; although I do think it’s a top quality Tabacco. Definitely something I would fill-in for a haunted bookshop and old Joe Kratz not a daily rotation, but definitely an excellent smoke
Cornell & Diehl - Firebird Flake 2oz
Long Island Fog
I’m not a complainer especially publicly on a review if I don’t have anything good to say I usually don’t say it but in this case I have to open my mouth. The reason why I don’t purchase any of these limited small batch offerings is because you blink and they’re gone and that’s because of poor business practices. I agree number one they should be sold to American citizens first and number two I think three per customer would be very fair. You have pipe smokers hoarding pipe Tabacco’s because they wanna be the ones that say I’ve had 20 of these in my cellar for the last five years. I don’t care what you do with your cellar. I don’t care how much Tabacco you collect, but the company has the responsibility to protect all customers. This is not about affordability. I can afford to buy 20 at a time that’s not the point.
Cornell & Diehl - Cross-Eyed Cricket 2oz
Long Island Fog
I was heartbroken when an Edward G Robison from Sutliff totally disappeared. It wasn’t a go to, but it was always something I would grab occasionally and enjoy thoroughly. This one is definitely in the Edward G Robinson wheelhouse it burns beautifully great with a cup of coffee and awesome for the fall and holidays. The retro hell brings out the perique in a great way and for a blend that has moisture out of the tin. It’s amazing that it burns so well and requires very few lights. The ash is a silky gray, and the aroma and room note is just awesome. I personally wouldn’t call it an all day smoke but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t consider this an excellent blend with all the Tabacco‘s disappearing right before our eyes from McBarron and Sutliff. I’m happy that C and D can provide us with blends that we usually would not grab on a daily basis. Bravo!
Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Night
Long Island Fog
I bought this blend purely by accident. I thought I ordered by Bayou morning, which I love. I open the bag I said to myself ;wow this stuff smells great, but it didn’t look like Bayou Morning. I looked at the label and realized it was Bayou night. The best mistake I ever made. This stuff is fabulous. I’m a big perique fan. It’s not a vaper and not an English. It’s a Melange of incredible flavors that are great for the fallacy winter mount. Definitely not for the lighthearted , but complexity to the max. The perique and Virginias run the show a lot which I’m not really fond of. Latakia and Orientals lift the other flavors to an incredible level of satisfaction. A great nicotine hit if that’s what you’re into but with a cup of coffee or strong tea, maybe even a bourbon this stuff plungers you into a relaxed state like I said the best mistake I’ve ever made in ordering pipe Tabacco.
