Given the low, low, LOW price of these cigars, I was ready to be underwhelmed. I was wrong to be so quick to judge based upon price alone. I've paid three times as much, for far inferior smokes than this.

The initial (pre-smoking) impression is one of a roughly made piece. And certainly, these cigars win no prizes in the beauty stakes. 'Rough and ready' is a phrase which springs easily to mind. A vieny wrapper, dark and slightly mottled. Slightly uneven at the least, and not at all waxy or oily. But firmly packed with what look to be quality leaves, rather than the floor-sweepings one might expect at this price point. But despite the tight construction, the draw, once cut, is surprisingly easy.

An easy light gives way to a slow and even burn. The initial 'barnyard' aroma and taste is gone within a minute or two, thankfully. Then comes a flavour of amazingly deep complexity. Earthy and savoury, like roasted flat mushrooms, yet at the same time sweet and chocolatey. The vaguest hint of vanilla, and spice. Rich, creamy and mouth filling. The smoke billows thick, white and curly as Moses' beard. The firm ash is surprisingly light in colour, almost white.

As the cigar burns slowly through, it remains cool and firm, never stodgy, soft or gooey.

The flavour and aroma just keep on getting better. Richer. Deeper. And not a hint of bitterness.

If it weren't for the fact that I want to sample so many others, I'd place these babies on standing order, and smoke nothing else. Read Less

This is my number one recommendation for new smokes. It's a great cigar that's just the right size for anyone trying to develop a palate for cigars or crossing over from pipe smoking. I always finish this one wanting more, and for new smokers I think that's better than trying to finish a big cigar that you've had enough of half way through. Smooth and tasty. The cigar aficionado might find the Hemingway line bland, but they're one of my favorites. More subtle than something like an Oliva Serie V. The Hemingway doesn't seem to have as much of that strong cigar punch that can become too much for a new smoker. The Hemingway remind me of a toned-down, milder version of the Opus X (my favorite cigar). Read Less

Long time cigar smoker; during winter months in Canada it can get kind of cold outside. So bought this tin box of Cubanitos. I've always had a passion for Arthuro Fuente cigars and was very surprised how good these we're. They taste great and smoked it until I burnt my fingers and surprisingly it lasted a good 45 mins. I've bought several other tins of cigarillos over the years and was expecting a similar burn and or taste. I was super surprised at how great these sticks tasted for the same price of some other competitors. I've never encountered a bad stick from A.Fuente and these are no exception. Read Less

This one is an amazing cigar, a tasty cigar leaf with aromatic pipe tobacco producing very flavorful smoke. With no hint of harshness, this cigar tastes like smooth sweet chocolate. Everyone who likes to smoke a pipe with an occasional cigar should try this one. Read Less

I've been on a small ring gauge kick and was looking forward to this one. Solid medium body and strength. Decent flavors with the leather really picking up at the end. Construction was good as well having a nice draw. Not a bad smoke, just for $10 there are better smokes out there even cheaper. Read Less

Simply saying this was a step past the medium bodied cigar I usually like. Its robust, full bodied, oily, creamy with deep notes of leather, must, cedar and espresso. Lots of espresso notes. Hints of caramel, dark cocoa, spice and black pepper. It was lightly woody and deeply earthy, with a nice lingering finish, complex enough that I notice a change in the flavors as I savor the smoke. A Mild Cigar, with some character but an easy smoke. A crisp burn line the entire time, light grey ash, well constructed. The only down side is it is not a dynamic smoke, meaning for me, what I get in the first inch of the smoke does not change or progress at all. I wasn't expecting a any major changes, but I hoped maybe some slight nuances as the smoke progressed. Now saying all that, I do like it for what it IS and not for what it is not, the size and length and mildness is why I bought a box. It is also the go to I give someone out of my humidor that is not really a cigar smoker, but would like to try a cigar. One of my favorite Fuente. The taste and aroma are well balanced, with significant front, middle and back changes. In the first third, wood is the dominant flavor, with honey sweetness and a slight pepper. In the middle third, the woodiness continues, with the addition of nuts and a slight floral note. In the last third, leather is added, but it's not strong. The pepper flavor intensifies and the honey flavor caramelizes. I finished ending. The aftertaste reminds me of Cuban Romeo Y Juliet, and the caramel flavor fills my mouth, and I can even feel it when I drink water. Great cigar, beautifully wrapped. The wrapper is said to turn dark red after aging. Read Less
