Eladio Diaz has been working with tobacco since he was six years old, and is a respected figure in the cigar industry. Rising to a position of prominence during his 35-year career with Davidoff, Diaz was one of the brand's most trusted blenders, additionally overseeing production and quality control for one of their factories. In 2021, Diaz struck out on his own, founding an eponymous cigar brand and establishing a factory in the Dominican Republic, all to be run by him and his family. A Dominican Puro, this cigar exclusively features tobacco grown in either the northern or southern regions of the country, making it a conceptual cigar as much as it is a celebratory one. The wrapper comes from the south, a four-year-aged Corojo leaf that covers a Mexican San Andrés Negro Binder from the north, with a filler blend comprising Criollo 98 and HVA from the south, and Corojo 99, Piloto Cubano, and Negrito from the north.
