Seattle Pipe Club: Vashon Island 1.75oz
Pipe Tobacco
Product Number: 003-606-0023
A classic mixture of Virginias, Black Cavendish, and Burley, Seattle Pipe Club's Vashon Island captures the essence of traditional American aromatic blends with fragrant notes of caramel and vanilla.
Honestly it’s hard to pick out tobacco flavors in this blend. If you like vanilla and Carmel this is definitely for you. It’s very sweet and smooth. Wonderful after dinner desert smoke.
I’ll echo other reviews and say the aroma that came out is strong and wonderful. I haven’t tried many tobaccos yet in all honesty. Probably only 5, but this has easily found its way to the top spot for me. It’s the first I’ve tried where the essence of the aroma is retained in the smoke and it is Delish. The character does change a little through the smoke but by the end of a larger sized pipe I was still enjoying it. And the room note is the best I’ve experienced. Highly recommend to aromatic enthusiasts....Read More
How convenient!!! The Seattle Pipe Club is practically my next door neighbor! So, I decided to give this one a try. Popping the tin, I got a caramel and vanilla SMACK! And although the topping is pretty strong, it's not nasty. If the topping were any stronger, I'd say "No Thanks", so I feel that this blend takes it right to the limit, but also keeps it well within check. That being said, the casing is pretty dominate. However, I immediately liked the aroma. For as strong as the casing is in the tin note, the tobacco is of a good moisture and was ready to pack and light. The blend took right away to the first light, and stays lit with no trouble. After tamping, I did my true light and didn't have to light again, finishing the bowl. The room note is amazing, and the taste is very pleasant. I like that the tobacco taste is not killed by the casing, but like I said before, this is definitely an aromatic... No question there. I loved the entire bowl and really enjoyed my first taste of this tobacco. Since then, I have purchased this several more times and have stocked up on it because it is truly a very nice smoke. This has become one of my faves and if you enjoy aromatics, I think you should give this one a shot. If you don't like it, send me your unused tin!!!...Read More
Purchased this blend on March 14, 2018. This blend reminds me of the discontinued CupOJoes Bigfoot. A wonderful burley, virgina, & black Cavendish; topped with carmel. The nic-hit is mild/medium, as is the room note. Lights well, and only needed one relight. The nic-hit is not as good as CupOJoes Bigfoot, so the three and a half star rating. Grab this blend while you can....Read More
