particularly requires little more finesse dry time and also packing just right. I have found to get the best flavor work tediously on your packing & char light (sometimes you'll have to char 2x) the tobacco likes to waver in the bowl and you can get uneven burning. Smoke this slow and methodical and you'll be able to coax the flavor right out of it, Retro hale is just as good as the smell. Go slow and relaxing and you'll get flavor and no bite on the tongue. If it gets to hot or not packed right, the taste is ashy and sour. This one will treat you well if you take some extra time not as forgiving as some others....Read More

and one can still taste the quality tobacco, etc.
Don't smoke many aromatics, but this one I would buy again. Lovely flavor, and not overdone.

ve ever found. Just, wow. And the taste you get when you pack the pipe and sip before lighting is also fantastic. Even the first few puffs deserve an award. But all the flavor evaporates in two or three puffs, and then it tastes medicine-y, and the tobaccos taste like a light cigarette, like a Lucky Strike. The room note, again, for the first few puffs, is delightful; but after the topping evaporates, it’s like the room note from a “nice” cigarette, a high grade cigarette. It does not stay lit, requires constant relights. I was so, so very excited for this tin, but the greater the excitement the harder the letdown. Such disappointment....Read More

forever because of the awful smell/taste, which will probably remain in it for quite a long time, I fear. Previous reviewers judging this as only slightly aromatic and not flavourized - or hardly flavourized - must have been reviewing something else. That was my initial thought.
