About This Pipe Tobacco

A simple as can be, Captain Black dark is a blend of straight, pure, 100% black Cavendish aromatic, providing plenty of flavor and sweetness, though with a fuller body as well, thanks to the use of Green River Burley as one of the source leafs involved in the creation of its Cavendish components.

I've been smoking Captain Black DARK for years. I love it. It's such a relaxing smoke. Never bites. Smokes cool. The tin note is nice and mellow. The room note is nostalgic. The flavor is subtly smooth. It's right up there with the GOLD.

The Captain's Best

Product: Captain Black Dark 1.5oz
I only write reviews on what I consider 5 Star blends, and Captain Black Dark is the cat's ass. I really like black Cavendish. CB Dark actually beats BCA, in my book. It's become my day-to-day go-to blend, and it knocked 1-Q down a notch in the process. Smoke it in your pipes with deep cavities and thick bowl walls because it tends to get a little hot, otherwise. Great room note, and easy on the tongue. Highly recommended....Read More

Product: Captain Black Dark 1.5oz
I’m a big fan of black cavendish and I have probably tried at least a dozen of them over the past 50 years. This one is definitely up there, but I have to give first place to Lane BCA.

Classic Cavendish

As flavors goes the black cavendish a full front and center. Rich and creamy. Definitely needs to dry prior to smoke. The pouch makes it easy to sample this blend and other Captain Black blends.
